Will's Birthday
Will got to celebrate his birthday with a trumpet/keyboard/plastic guitar concert and a rousing game of basement floor hockey.

Target Practice
Graham got a blind for Christmas and it fits in his room. How do we know this? He insisted on setting it up the minute we got home from Grammie's.
Will was playing with the kids one afternoon when Graham came downstairs asking for darts. Then Gabriella wanted her pink darts. Then Chase wanted a bow and arrow. This is what I found upstairs.
I think they were shooting at the bookshelf most of the time. However, from the screams I heard, Will must have been the target more than once. What a good dad.

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas, everyone! We hope you have enjoyed the season and celebrated the Savior's birth with your friends and family. Our season is almost over, and here is a recap of how we spent all this glorious time off of work and school...
We went to Grammie & Grandpa's to celebrate Thanksmas with the Funks. We got to see Caleb & Christina's family, too, and had a wonderful visit with our family.
Sadly, only 2 Christmas programs to attend this year. Here is Gabriella with her friend Nevaeh at her preschool program.
And again, at the church program a few days later.
Chase had a great time singing/playing with the kids next to him. He helped the boy next to him with a tie emergency.
This might look like they are all praying together, but in reality, the boy in front was knocking their heads together like the Three Stooges.
Then when school was over, it was off to Grandma & Grandpa's house. First, we celebrated the Beckley Christmas at Aunt Kim & Uncle Chris' house. The boys loved their dart guns. (Thanks, Grandma. Sort of.)
Graham found Uncle Joe's old camo vest and refused to take it off. Chase went the opposite way and played in his underwear whenever possible.
Gabriella got a hula hoop from Grandma and the gyrating hip contests have been pretty entertaining.
Finally, it was time for Christmas at home!

Now that it's over, we have had a few days to relax. Will made smores over the grill last night. Gabriella, with chocolate still on her face, played on the plant stand she gave me.
We hope you, too, are able to enjoy the last few days of 2014 eating something tasty and doing something fun.

School Daze
Now that it's nearly November, it's time to put up the kids' pictures from the first day of school.
Graham started on a Tuesday. His first night home on the bus was a nightmare, as he was 1.5 hours late and the bus didn't stop at our house. It has gone much better since then. He says school is "fine", he likes his teacher, and his favorite subject is gym.
Chase does not stand still for pictures. He does well at school, but he never wants to go. He is completely done behaving by the time he gets home, which makes the next few hours very interesting. He loves his teacher, and his favorite subject is recess.
Gabriella had a rainy first day of school. She is not at all impressed with preschool and wishes she could do more crafts and worksheets. Evidently, preschool is not "real" enough for her. She should fit right into kindergarten, I guess. Until then, we deal with the bad attitude.

Does your chewing gum lose its flavor?
Our kids have only recently started chewing gum. I gave Gabriella and Graham a piece this morning (Chase is not a fan), with a dire warning about what would happen if I found it on the floor.
Graham walked in to the dining room and said, "I like the juice from this gum. It slides down my throat and it tastes like happiness."
